OIG Celebrating Omanisation

Muscat, Oman. In a clear display of OIG’s (Oman International Group SAOC) commitment to Omanisation, OIG has awarded five Omani HO staff members prestigious Certificates of Appreciation. In presenting the Certificates, Mohammed Aflah Al Rawahy, OIG’s Admin Manager said ‘These five staff are fine examples of staff dedicated to performing beyond expectations and upholding their commitment to excellence at OIG.’ The staff members were awarded the certificates at the OIG offices in Wattayah earlier this week.

The staff members who receive these prestigious awards are nominated by customers for their outstanding work or are carefully selected by the OIG management team. Factors taken into consideration are work performance, attendance, initiative, proactivity and motivation.
‘At OIG we believe actions speak louder than words’, said Mr. Tim Vallancey, CEO of OIG. ‘We are continually looking at new ways to recruit and up-skill our Omani workforce, as well as ways to acknowledge and reward outstanding performance.’

OIG has a history of rewarding all of its staff (expatriate and Omani) for outstanding achievements. This new initiative targeted at Omani staff is a strong sign of OIG’s commitment to Omanisation and support of all government and ministry initiatives focused on this. Wherever possible, OIG Omanises positions throughout the company and across all levels. ‘OIG continues to drive forward with Omanisation’ said Mr. Vallancey ‘we actively recruit Omani school and University graduates through to Omani’s who have established working careers.’ OIG’s current biggest requirement is within their core business areas of cleaning and gardening. As an added incentive for employment, OIG re numerates their staff above the minimum wage requirement. OIG’s conscientious recruitment strategy and commitment to its staff, is reflected in the company’s level of Omanisation which is far above the industry average.

OIG is a leading facilities management company with several thousand staff working across the Sultanate. The services offered by OIG include cleaning, catering, landscaping & gardening, pest control, sale of associated products and waste management.
